Forest glades of health strawberry tea

The aroma of strawberries will not be by anyone who has ever tasted it. The taste is also unforgettable; the delicate sweetness of the berry leaves a long, pleasant aftertaste. The very name of strawberries, which sounds like Fragaria in Latin, comes from the word “fragrance.” Residents of rural areas have a happy opportunity to meet strawberry glades on the forest edges. So, on a sunny summer day, the fragrant call of ripe berries is heard from afar.

But strawberries are not only berries. They are also strawberry tea — an excellent drink that can remind of the ripe sweetness of a strawberry meadow in winter. But suppose the berries are not collected personally but bought on the market or in a pharmacy as dried raw materials. In that case, it is worth considering this nuance: only wild strawberries for therapeutic purposes.

So if strawberry tea is not just a pleasant drink but a medicine, then other types of strawberries: green or nutmeg, are not applicable. Therefore, you should know the botanical signs of wild strawberries well so that there is no confusion and you do not have to buy or collect useless plants.

Forest strawberries are a low perennial herbaceous plant growing in groups, occupying clearings on the edge of the forest, hillsides, or even mountains. A triple rosette of basal leaves and white bouquets of erect flowers are immediately noticeable among the various kinds of grass. The fruits are elongated, fragrant, and sweet, with a slightly noticeable sourness of the berries and dark scarlet.

The mass blossoming of strawberries falls on the last days of May, and the bulk of the fruit ripens by the end of August. The good thing is that strawberry tea is made not only from berries but also from the leaves of wild strawberries. Therefore, until it’s time for the berries to ripen, you can start harvesting the leaves and drying the collected raw materials in the shade to prepare appropriately for the autumn-winter season. When collecting leaves, one must pluck a small amount from the plant during flowering. If you remove any leaves from one bush, then fruiting will should be remembered when harvesting.

Strawberry tea characteristics

What is so interesting about wild strawberries beside the magical taste of their berries? The thing is that both berries and strawberry leaves have a lot of qualities and properties that are useful for human health. The fact that berries are full of vitamin C is known to everyone, plus a harmoniously balanced complex of trace elements, carotene, fructose, and other benefits.

Berries and leaves of wild strawberries contain a unique complex of vitamins and biologically active substances that have a surprisingly positive healing effect on the body. They improve the work of the gastrointestinal tract, improve the heart rate, cleanse the body of harmful toxins, increase urination, and remove them with urine. For women with uterine atony, strawberry preparations are helpful as a tonic, but only on the attending physician’s recommendation.

If a person has excessive sweating, tea from leaves and berries will help cope with this problem. The main effect of taking strawberry tea can get rid of joint pain problems, such as salts and toxins from the body. And the vitamin energy of strawberries will add strength and health during the cold weather and exacerbation of colds.

Like many herbal teas, tea from the leaves is brewed in the usual way: one tablespoon of dry crushed leaves per glass of boiling water. Insist under a napkin or towel for half an hour and strain. This tea can be drunk in the morning and evening, but not before bed. You can drink this tea differently; a spoonful every two hours is good for stomach and intestinal disorders or if you need to increase hemoglobin levels. No matter how strawberries are in the autumn-winter period, they are always associated with hot summers and the life-giving energy of the Sun.
